Winter Crafters & Farmers Market opens for season

BELOIT – Just because the Downtown Beloit Association outdoor Farmers Market ended for the season, doesn’t mean shoppers will be deprived of fresh produce and baked goods.

Caylei Wright of The Wright Way Farm, was selling a variety of organically grown items on Saturday at the first Winter and Farmers Market of the season at the DBA offices at 5557 E. Grand Ave.

Wright was offering Brussels sprouts, arugula, kale, tomatoes and other items, fresh from the farm located on County Road H west of Beloit.

 

“We try to get items as fresh as possible,” Wright said of the items she sells at the Winter Market. “Andwe have tons of pickled items.”
