There will be a second Taco Takedown with a different layout and a plan to get more tacos in more hands.
The first Taco Takedown in August 2024, organized by Geronimo Hospitality and held on the northern end of the Ironworks Campus, was both a hit and a miss.
It was a hit in that more than 1,000 people were on hand when it opened at 3 p.m. and more than 3,000 showed over the course of the event. It was a miss in that the number of taco enthusiasts overwhelmed the vendors and the vast majority could enjoy tacos from one or two of the 10 vendors. A large number left before getting any tacos at all.
