BELOIT — The Grand Avenue bridge over the Rock River in downtown Beloit will be closed to traffic from State Street to the west end of the bridge starting Wednesday, April 23.
The bridge closure will be in place until the Riverwalk expansion is completed in June. Please take alternate bridges to get to your destination.
When complete, the riverwalk will extend from ABC Supply Stadium through Riverside Park.
The project is part of a building demolition and riverwalk expansion project which began last summer.
The 11,380-square-foot building at 80-100 E. Grand Ave. was demolished. Part of the building extended over the Rock River and because of this, it was deemed an environmental concern.
