BELOIT, Wis. (WMTV) – Residents and visitors in Downtown Beloit will see some more color along city streets.
Six electrical boxes were wrapped with artwork with the goal of enhancing the city’s streetscape and highlighting local artists, officials announced Thursday.
The Downtown Beloit Association and Beloit Art Center partnered together to review artist submissions. The new installations are at the following intersections:
• Pleasant & Public – “Star Flower” by Katherine Cook
• Pleasant & Broad – “The Market” by Holly Fuca
• Shirland & State – “Beauty Through the Cracks” by Valerie Cohs
• Shirland at Sky Carp – “Water Reflections” by Kim Witte
• Shirland at Transit – “Colors Uncaged” by Jonathan Lent
• State & St. Paul – “Putting Music in the Air” by Greg LaMont
