Kids will take part in some hands-on activities, and receive hard hats and other goodies during the Community Construction Zone event set for 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3 at the Ironworks Campus in downtown Beloit.
Community Construction Zone – Dare to Dream: Build the Future is in its sixth year. The free event began in 2019, but it was postponed in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It began again in 2022, offering opportunities for young people to explore many career opportunities in the construction industry.
The event is presented each year by Corporate Contractors Inc. (CCI) and Hendricks CareerTEK, along with several corporate partners. The event will be held in the parking lot north of the main Ironworks Campus off Fourth Street in downtown Beloit.
