ELOIT, Wis. (WKOW) — East Grand Avenue in Beloit is back open after a reconstruction project.

The city held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday to celebrate the end of the project. The work included replacing the road, parking, curb and sidewalk, plus new poles to enhance pedestrian safety.

“Downtown Beloit is just absolutely vibrant, and this is just going to add to the beauty of downtown and continue to see this place develop,” Rep. Clinton Anderson, (D-Beloit) said at the ceremony. “And, you know, show everybody who doesn’t live in this community why it’s such a beautiful place to work, live and play.”
