Bank First to lay off 47 people

BELOIT – Bank First, which recently acquired First National Bank and Trust offices in the Stateline Area, will be laying off 47 employees in coming months.


Bank First announced the layoffs in a letter to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development dated Jan. 23. The notice of layoffs was sent as part of the requirements of the Wisconsin Business Closing and Mass Layoff Law, also known as the WARN Act. A copy of the letter also was sent to Beloit City Council President Kevin Leavy.


In the letter, signed by Sharol Schroeder, senior vice president of human resources for Bank First, it also was
announced the company would be closing the Beloit Annex facility at 413 State St. and the Beloit Operations
Center at 601 Third St., Suite 300.
