BELOIT — City of Beloit officials have scheduled a ribbon-cutting ceremony for July 15 to show off the completed section of Riverwalk that will connect ABC Supply Stadium through Riverside Park.
Drivers, though, will continue to have to find alternate routes through downtown with the Grand Avenue bridge expected to remain closed at least through the end of June, Beloit Director of Strategic Communications Sarah Lock said in an email.
The project is part of a building demolition and riverwalk expansion project near the Grand Avenue bridge, which began last summer when a Cottage Grove company began tearing down a building that had been hanging over the Rock River since 1921.
