Halloween events planned in area

It is time for tricks and treats, costumes and family fun in the Stateline Area.

Several events are coming up to help children and families enjoy the Halloween season..

Downtown Beloit Halloween Parade

The annual Halloween Parade will be held in downtown Beloit from 10 a.m. — 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25.

Costumed children and families can meet at Horace White Park at the corner of Park Avenue and Grand Avenue at 9:45 a.m. The parade then will move down Grand Avenue, stopping for treats at participating businesses, which will be marked by orange flags. Vendors at the Downtown Beloit Farmers Market also will offer treats to children. Magic Mike Winters will be performing tricks at the First National Bank Plaza at 10:45 a.m. Brad and Cindi Paulson will be offering free pumpkins while supplies last. And the great pumpkin give-away will again take place at the State Street McDonald’s. This event is free.
