BELOIT — Saturday was a day of walking with friends, sharing a few sips of wine and exploring downtown Beloit.
The Downtown Beloit Association Spring Wine Walk drew a large crowd of people who lined up to begin their wine tasting journey around 1 p.m. Saturday at the Downtown Beloit Association offices at 557 E. Grand Ave.
Once inside the starting location, people could sample wine, and check out some merchandise offered by vendors.
One popular item was the wine glass pouch that wine walkers could hang around their neck. Instead of carrying their wine sampling glass in their hands, they could tuck the glasses away in the pouch and hang it around their necks for easy access.
